Here is an oppie find, a tray that is made in Hong Kong with 2 glass plates which you can take off and put anything in between to look at, but for now I am happy with the doiley.
Put it to good use straight away and have all my favourite jewelery on it
Here is a close up of an Elizabeth Arden bag that I found, isn't it retro
I also found the tapestry purse on the right, and the glasses case on the left belonged to my gma it was one of her favourite cases, I have crochet hooks in it for now
Todays purchases from Nest- a cute little retro hanky, I will get mum to work to turn it into a little bag maybe or cushion perhaps
My latest creations for my Etsy store are these 100% cotton facewashers which are so soft and scrummy, some will come with Cath Kidston soaps, maybe buy them for yourself or a friend
Many more colours are to come and also am working on 100% cotton makeup removers to match the facewashers, let me know if anyone wants an order or custom one made
also these little cotton and bamboo purses will be a new addition to the Etsy store also

Spring Bunting find................
An oppie find that made me all excited about spring! I cannot wait to turn it into a spring bunting and hang it in my home :)
Some other oppie finds this week
Isn't this little squirrel find just the sweetest!
If anyone knows anything about the label I'd be happy to know, or maybe you girls also have some of this label too???
Some of you may remember this cat shown beofre, well I thought I'd show you the stamp on the bottom from 1961 I researched and these are collector's items, they are salt shakers and also the lid that you see on the bottom opens and reveals one of those shakers that make noises like in those old dolls, it doesn't make a noise anymore but how cool that they used to to resemble a real cat!! how vintage
A little plate was another find so good to have room for bikkies and cake while crafting :)
I thought I'd show my latest project some "Tapestry crochet" I just love the effect of its pattern, can get a little tricky where you have to carry each colour through the pattern but the effect is well worth it. this is going to be a tote bag will have pockets and a flap too :)
I am hooking upn with "her Library Adventures Flea market finds for this post too, this features every sunday you should check it out, I was a little slow linking up but still got to luckily!
Till next post

I just love the baby doll look of the top too
Saturday nite, the blue glass beads worn are also vintage and belonged to my grandmother they came out from England Some of you may remember this cat shown beofre, well I thought I'd show you the stamp on the bottom from 1961 I researched and these are collector's items, they are salt shakers and also the lid that you see on the bottom opens and reveals one of those shakers that make noises like in those old dolls, it doesn't make a noise anymore but how cool that they used to to resemble a real cat!! how vintage

new craft workspace at last..........
I finally got around to organising a desk space as a craft corner!!!! I am so pleased with it and no doubt the desk will have many changes as to what sits on it!!!
Look at these beautiful glass jars they were an oppie find yday and are made in Croatia, they now sit on my desk as button jars I am very pleased with my op shop finds lately
This book is in mint condition and yes it is another of ydays oppie finds!!
The book even has cooking recipes in it, one in particular is a recipe for chocolate cake, I will keep you posted as to how the recipe goes!!
One good thing about being a Red Cross Volunteer is the gorgeous goodies we find, I scored these lovely coat hangers.......
A new cardigan topped off my day yday on sale at Target, I thought I would add one of my bird brooches to jazz it up and hang a crochet necklace around it too

some quiet time and orders to make....
I am getting used to a quiet house at the moment, the parents are away for a few days, so that means looking afater these two rascals!!!!
I felt like some really yummy healthy food this weekend, so I stopped and got some organic vegies from a local farmer stall on the side of the road. The carrots went into my craving for gourmet hamburgers that I made for dinner when I got home
I really felt like some Turkish bread for my gourmet hamburgers
Then onto some oppie shopping and here was the perfect Enid Blyton find with some lovely fresh white doilies that I plan to crochet around the edges and sell as a little set
Here is a gorgeous children's book that I got so cheap and plan to use as an etsy prop for my latest winter children's crochet items................
Just look at this beautiful little vintage children's plate that I got at the oppie also, I'm going to use it as a prop for my crochet rings on etsy................
I got some exciting news last nite, I received a custom order for a little girls beret on Ebay!!! I was so happy with the request, I am off to work on it and send a pic to the buyer

Latest crochet inspiration......
I couldn't help but stop by my favourite newsagents this morning and check out the latest edition of
"Inside Crochet", I sure wasn't disappointed! I now must be known to buy the crochet mags as the girl stated that I will be able to add some more creations to my collection, from which we got chatting on crochet, couldn't get a better morning than that really could you!!
Here it is........ (I also had to purchase the creative crochet book as I couldn't leave it there!)
Inside Crochet is such a good magazine that I can't rave about it enough!
I came across my favourite new pattern in the mag the "chevron" just take a peek at the beauties you can make.......................
Chevron beauties
and check out this crochet dress, talk about inspiration...... Isn't it just divine :)
I also went on a bit of an oppie run today, as the weather is soo nice here in Burnie at the moment that I felt the urge to check out the Salvation Army and Lifeline.....
I came across this beautiful little children's book that it was soo sweet I just had to have it :)
It has little flaps in it and to my amazement you have to reach in the little flaps and take out the little treasures hiding inside, and alsas the little liftouts are all still in there, how rare is that to find the book in perfect tact??
check out the sweet little book with flaps and treasures to lift out.....
Check out the little lift-out bunny, isn't this perfect for easter! Now all I need is a baby to read the book to, I am working on this at the mo with the partner as I am veeery clucky at the moment!
While at the Supermarket I came across these cheap retro looking sundae drink cups! they go well with my newly purchased crazy straws don't you think.
My partner and I will be having homemade smoothies out of these......
I will leave you with another piece of crochet related post, here is some sorting that I was doing last night, playing around with wool and buttons to decide on my next lot of scarves to create for my Market stall which I am going to take the plunge and do :)
Till next Blog creation
